Buy PC 2100 Ram Online...Good Marketing
As marketing advances and consumers get smarter the marketing moves away from the company and into the hands of consumers.

friend: that's for overclocking
friend: http://www.crucial.com
me: ram is pretty much ram
me: right
me: $70 at crucial
me: $43 elsewhere
friend: don't be cheap fucker
me: i am asking
friend: you get what you pay for
me: k
me: get from crucial then?
friend: crucial won't rip you off...and they sell quality stuff
friend: and they make it easy to figure out what you need
From the recomendation of one friend I was willing to buy ram for nearly double the price of ram elsewhere. His otaku for computer parts and for ram makes me value his opinion that much (after all, he built my computer!)
Posted at December 19, 2003 10:45 PMI actually purchased 2 ram units off of Crucial. They are smart underpromising and overdelivering.
Unlike their stupid competitors they show a higher price then offer free coupon codes with free shipping and $10 off. Both coupons make me feel like I got something free (even if it is factored into the price.) The other companies added random crap charges such as a testing fee.
Over 25,000 people have rated Crucial on Bizrate...and they have a 97% possitive feedback rating. Buy your ram today!
otaku? isn't that negative slang for a shut-in in Japan? someone who is obsessed with hentai and has no life?
Otaku means sick obsession. I guess my improper use of the word comes from the positive connotation in the marketing book Purple Cow...which was just picked as marketing book of the year by fast company!
Do a google search and see that no one except Mr. Godin uses it in that way.
