I rented a Ryder in the early ninties. I didn't have much money, so I didn't plan to pay for it. I was driving across 6 states. I wasn't coming back. It was a nice truck, one yr old. I din't want anyone to know, but I needed an acomplace when I got there. It took a while, but I got a guy to drive with me. I left the truck in public place. I called the company, and told a guy, that knew nothing about it. He was a spaze, as he didn''t believe me. Finally, I gave up. I just told him where it was and it was his responceablity to tell the people. In 3 or 4 wks, it finally got picked up. It must have been funny, as the police in my home town were looking for me, Ryder was paniced.
